Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI)

Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the largest chambers of commerce in Greece, and the largest independent networking and business support organisation in Crete. Representing the interests of approx. 22.000 members from all sectors of the economy, the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry offer its members a wide range of practical and professional advisory services. HCCI is a public body established in 1918, receives no subsidy from any governmental body and it is financed entirely by its members’ contributions and fees and by community grants. The HCCI’s role is to act as an advisor and consultant to the general government for issues concerning commerce, industry and other issues relevant to economic development. A high priority aim for the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the continuous improvement of the services it provides to its members, in order to support their economic welfare.

Hanse-Parlament

The Hanse-Parlament is an association of 50 chambers of industry, commerce and crafts from 13 countries. The members represent more than 475,000 SMEs in the entire Baltic Sea region. The Hanse-Parlament is dedicated to strengthening the economic performance of the Baltic Sea region in general and promoting SMEs in particular. The improvement of vocational training in the EU is a particular priority. A powerful secretariat based in Hamburg serves as a service center, think tank and development department. With the involvement of SME representatives, the Hanse-Parlament is constantly developing new support measures, especially in the area of vocational training. It is testing the measures with individual partners and then transferring them to all members. The members receive training for the trainers as well as intensive implementation advice from the Hanse-Parlament. In this way, new demand-oriented support measures are developed and implemented permanently throughout the Baltic Sea region with a broad impact.
The Hanse-Parlament has been in existence since 1994, international cooperation is well established, and a high level of sustainability is achieved through the organization as an association. On the initiative of the Hanse-Parlament, the Baltic Sea Academy was founded in 2010, to which 17 universities from 9 Baltic Sea countries belong. The members of the Baltic Sea Academy carry out dual study programs as well as research and development tasks for SMEs. Centrum Wspierania Edukacji i Przedsiębiorczości (CWEP)

Centre For Education And Entrepreneurship Support (CWEP) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2004 by a group of entrepreneurs, teachers and social activists from Rzeszów, Poland. CWEP cooperates with businesses and educational institutions. The mission of CWEP is to increase the quality of education training at all levels and in all its forms, as well as to promote entrepreneurship in order to foster integration of any social group, regardless of their gender, age or ethnic origin. Particularly, the aims are to improve accessibility, quality and efficiency of education of all people, to promote and contribute to adult education, life-long learning, e-learning and the usage of new technologies in education and entrepreneurship. The Association works with many partners from Europe in order to strengthen the economic position of enterprises and provides on-line platforms for companies.

LUT University (Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT) is a pioneering science university in Finland, bringing together the fields of science and business since 1969. University of Zagreb – Faculty of Economics and Business

The Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb was founded in 1920; hence, it represents the oldest institution of higher education in economics and business in the Republic of Croatia, but also in wider international context. The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb is one of 31 constituents of the University of Zagreb, founded in 1669, which position it in the group of the oldest universities in Europe. Based on the results of its economic, social and political activities, the number of current students and members of its Alumni society, the number and the competencies of its professors, associates and accompanying staff, awarded international accreditations, and many top economists, managers, entrepreneurs and politicians, the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb is recognized as leading and largest institution of economic and business education in the Republic of Croatia, and the wider region.

The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb is a community of 260 professors and associates who carry out study programs and participate in various research projects. In addition to the teaching staff, there are 115 non-teaching staff members assigned to Faculty’s professional services.
